Food was decent but not amazing. Simple fare like a meatball grilled cheese, and a mac and cheese for $10 each. The part I enjoyed the most was the unique atmosphere of the place. Inside they have set up several retro pieces of technology in some quirky ways which are definitely worth seeing. ISo basically I would recommend it, and probably return myself, but for the scenery not the food.
couldn’t find anywhere to eat on a saturday afternoon when we stumbled upon Food Shark. The turkey sandwich was epic. The Falafel was epic. The peta was epic. Whole place was epic absolutely go if you’re in town!!!!
Flavourful, tasty, yummy, food made with care, love with a dash of humor. First falafel I've ever eaten, WOW my mouth was happy! Bring your appetite and cash or check.
I wish I could say I tried the food but it was cash and check only so we waited in line for 15 min for nothing. Was excited to try it, but pretty pretentious for a “famous” place to not accept credit.
Place was cool when it would vary its location now it's kind of sedentary getting old and fat like an old Elvis with its school bus seating area still got a dig this kind of place out in the middle of nowhere at least somebody shows up for work and makes food for people. Got to love the apex predator.
To die for. Perfect falafel - crisp outside, soft and flavourful inside. Staff very understanding of my food allergy.
Great place. Food is the bomb...visiting from missouri. Rock on
Love the lamb kabob! Stop here every time we make a trip to the West 😍
We loved food shark! The falafel wrap was amazing, and I loved the quirky ambiance. It is definitely a must visit/eat when visiting Marfa. Just make sure that you bring cash to use since they don't take cards.
Stopped here on our drive to Big Bend. A sight for sore eyes after driving for so long! Food was good, but unfortunately they were out of some of the tastiest looking menu items. There were a few quirky little sitting areas that were fun and kept us out of the hot sun.
Best falafel I ever ate
Oh, that marfalafel! So good. On busy weekends, its best to go early or they might sell out.
Great falafels...plus they really know how to throw flavors together to dazzle your mouth. Eat. Here.
Wonderful people and delicious food. I had the hummus and veggie wrap. They made it vegan for me and it was delicious.
Best place to eat in Marfa if you can catch them open. The hours posted on Google are accurate, but it's only a few hours a day 4 days a week so it can be difficult to catch them if you are busy.
Delicious lamb skewers.
Absolutely phenomenal Mediterranean food! Upon first look at this food truck set up you might think it's a little cliche, but the food is beyond fantastic. Their falafel rivals some of the best I've had anywhere. Everything from the food to their iced tea are of the highest quality.
Don't miss out on the shark tank food truck while in marfa Texas
Loved this place. It is a must for lunch.
Amazing for vegans and non-vegans!
Best Turkey sandwich i have ever had!!! Cute little ambiance and super laid back. A must try spot when visiting Marfa!
It was a windy day when I ate here, fortunately they had a dining room rigged up in an old school bus. They only take cash and checks. As a former accountant that annoys me, but as a business owner, I get it. Credit card fees are ridiculous. There is a gas station (Stripes) right across the street with an atm.
One of the best Falfel Pitas I’ve ever had. Get the bacon as well, it’s a nice thick cut and cooked perfectly. Would recommend to anyone who finds themselves in Marfa.
Great food, cool atmosphere, overall awesome experience!
Love the vibe of Food Shark! Laid back atmosphere with fresh eats. Get the bbq falafel sandwich, it will not disappoint!
Had falafel gyro (Mexican style) with a tortilla and was pleasantly surprised, my partner had the combo which consisted of hummus and salad and toasted gyro bread. Super tasty food. Freaking awesome layout with classic cars surrounding the business with random dolls and nicknacks also. They have a bus we’re you can escape the Texas winds. Highly recommend this place. People are nice and chill for having so much business. Bathroom was full of awkward pictures and old school advertisements. Loved it.
Lamb Kabob is Awesome... Marfalaful is awesome... All the food at the Food Shark is awesome... Adam and John C are awesome.. lol.. I've been here in Marfa for 9 years and always thought this was the best place here to eat here in Marfa
if you don’t mind waiting 30 minutes for a sandwich this is actually really delicious and worth the wait
Had the combo plate: hummus, pita chips, falafel, and salad. The dressing was tangy without excess oil or acid. The sauces for the falafel had a nice smoky aroma. Was a good vege option on a hot day. Seating were communal tables under the carport, in the yard, or on the school bus turned dining room.
This place is recommended by The Visitors Center .she was right one of the best places to eat . we had lunch , my husband had the brisket sandwich that was out of this world ,homemade bun with a little sweet taste to it, very tender brisket . I had one of their fatoush salads that was also super delicious. Ambiance is Desert, food truck surrounded by vintage cars, tables are old desks with plastic chairs . there is an old converted bus that serves as a dining car and also huge patio behind that where it seems they could fit at least 50 people. Highly recommended.
Great vibe. Awesome falafel!
Great atmosphere, food was good.
Vegan falafel is my favorite food to eat from any local restaurant. It is also fun eating here!!!
Great food! The lamb was to die for.
Cool place good food and cold beer
Falafel and Redbull makes me Happy 😊
A great way to experience your visit to Marfa. Cool atmosphere & yummy food.
Skip the combo plate. The Fatoush Salad has all the same stuff, but there's more of it and it's saucier! All the best flavors!
Was a good meal. Be prepared to wait a bit as this place is busy. Great stop for sure.
After wandering around Marfa for the better part of half an hour trying to find a place to eat (we had inadvertently arrived in the middle of a festival performance and everything was shut down or closed for private events). Anyhow, the food here was cheap and hit the spot. The fact it’s served out of a truck and next to a school bus is pretty neat as well - all the outdoor seating is very fun.
Incredible lamb. The service takes a bit, but considering how good the food was, it is totally worth the wait. Sit in the old school bus to eat!
Good falafel and complementing ingredients. I don't mind the occasional wait of 20-30 minutes on a busy day. It is disappointing that they usually sell out of all meat based menu items so early that I've never got to try them.
Awesome Mediterranean food in a great atmosphere. Highly recommend lunch here while in Marfa!
remember sitting at a random elementary school desk they had laid out, good eats, eccentric vibes which is it's charm, they have a bus with tables and chairs inside that you can dine/lunch at, very memorable experience, love the guys that run Food Shark.
Awesome find on the far side of Marge. Delicious Mediterranean food with vegetarian options. The wait is worth it. Various random places to sit in large or small groups, including a dining car (an old school bus). A couple of Valiants and Barcelona cars are parked around the border of the property to admire and help you find it.
Never mind the wait: terrific smoked turkey sandwich and fresh texmex take on falafel
I was going to take a pic of my food but it was so good I inhaled it before I had a chance.
Not sure why anyone would give this place a bad review. Their food is just kickass!!! The man in the truck takes orders, cooks and delivers. They have get in line order and beat it attitude which is part of the charm!
Delicious! I loved the combo plate and my husband loved the lamb kabob. It is a must stop when you visit Marfa. Not much else for lunch out there any way.
Great food and very unique atmosphere. Closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Get there early as the wait time and line of people gets long but is still well worth it. I had the grilled lamb kebob plater and my wife had the hummus and veggie wrap. Both went well beyond our expectations.
